    Brrrrrrr

Sitting here in the office absolutely freezing. I havent put my cardi on because I havent taken my coat off yet. The coffee is cold by the time I get to drink it and my no2 light cardi is wrapped around my knees.
Dont think I will get much done today.

I couldnt believe how stupidly many people drove this am. One inch of compacted snow, 25 mph, yet they were still a metre behind my bumper.

The carpark in front of the office is like a pristine Christmas wonderland. So I walked to the office door backwards. That'll sh 1t the MD up when he sees a single set of footprints leaving

I do that, at every opportunity. This year so far:

I walked to the lake and retraced my footsteps.

Into the middle of the garden with the dog, picked dog up and reversed back.

To the top of the hill on my MTB and retraced my tracks down again (that one is really difficult to make look right)

Don't care if anyone notices. It just gives me pleasure that someone might, and freak a little.

Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

You may not believe this but it’s true. Heating at client’s site has been outsourced. It’s freezing in the office but the temperature is controlled by a company hundreds of miles away. According to their monitors the temperature is fine.

OK here is one for you. Last week in the cricket bat /burglar thread someone mentioned spreading gravel.
When I was in the army, I had to get my guys to a radio shack, guarded and surrounded by 50 m of gravel mixed with sea shells. It was night time and in those days there were no night vision gogs, just trip flares.
          we did it. how ?

                    • Possibly you used blankets, jackets or similar to create stepping pads.

                    • Or possibly did it the hard way by each carrying a bag or bucket of damp sand or earth to create a soft footpad path across the gravel.
