One of my favourite programmes when I was young

It was based on Sergeant Bilko

I think Bilko & The Lucy Show scarred me for life.

Didn't the BBC in its infinite wisdom insist on referring to it as "Boss Cat" since "Top Cat" is/was a brand of catfood?

Waste of time, since the titles had "Top Cat" in large letters
Indeed - and the constant repetition of the words "Top Cat" throughout the title music was a bit of a giveaway too

That always reminds me of Virgin Nazi Biker Nuns With Guns.

              Dunno why.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

The "Heroes in a Half Shell" are making a comeback next year in a live action movie.

                Apparently.
