    Merry Yule

    Merry Yule to everyone !

And Merry Christmas to the Xians as well.

Just finished a board game called Dungeon Lords. Excellent game, but not the sort of game for new players as it has a lot of complex rules. Still good fun though and grats to Halo for being the "Dungeon Mistress"
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Yule was days ago. It's some middle-eastern thingy today.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Holidaying in Philippines. Around 27C near the coast in Marivelis. Had an alfresco lunch of goat, chicken, pork and seafood dishes with friends in the garden. I managed to procure some reasonable bottles of French white wine.

Makes a nice change from freezing my chocks off in England.

        Have a good one all!
