    Hi There

Recently came across this contractors forum and thought I'd join even though I'm not contracting in the UK as it contains alot of useful and helpful information that applies to contracting in general.

    Happy new year to everyone

Thats a difficult question to be asking me on New Years day, with my brain not fully engaged

I meant, well I think I meant, aspects of contracting that can apply across different geographical regions, not just specific to the UK itself.

Welcome to the fold, Paddy. There's a lot of useful stuff here, and from what I've seen over the years, a genuine willingness and goodwill to help those in genuine need, from other 'tractors, some permies <cough>, accountants, legal peeps and even agents. Make yourself at home.

Although in General - specifically in (the) General (forum), and also in Light Relief, it's a mix of banter, nonsense and frippery. Part of what keeps me coming back is the randomness of this place. And the traditions. Speaking of which...
