    Agencies

When are they likely to re-open - this coming week or next?

IIRC, they tend to have two weeks off from a few days before Xmas.

      Checks records...

Wed 23rd Dec applied for gigs advertised on the day
Thu 24th Dec applied for gigs advertised on the day

Sun 27th Dec responded to an ad that appeared on Jobserve

Tue 29th Dec got a call from an agent and got put forward for a gig. Saw some suitable gigs on Jobserve

Thu 31st Dec spent all day searching and applying for gigs.

Since I signed on on the morning of Weds 23rd, I have applied for 13 gigs / jobs and I have a handful of application forms for permie jobs to fill in too.

Many of the agencies may be closed, but that does not commission-hungry, skint, keen sales people - the agents - from working.

But if you choose not to look for work, funnily enough, you won't see any. Which suits me down to the ground.
