I lost the plot last series.

Is everyone still changing sides every week?

It's back from it's xmas break in the US last Monday with a double dose. It's not getting any better.

Heroes is getting more and more awful.

Too many variables and paradoxes and butterfly effects. The whole thing is a mess.

You never know who is dead, which person is who, whos got what power, who is switching powers, how time has been changed. It's just a complete and utter joke they really should disband the programme and think of something a little less confusing.

Lost is good, I never got bored of that personally.

I never understood the hype surrounding Heroes when it launched - it was OK, but not brilliant.

I decided to give up on it a couple of episodes into the second series.

By the sounds of it, good job I did which is surprising as, similar to Zeity, I watch this stuff till the end!

BTW, I enjoyed Journeyman. On a similar note, anyone used to watch Reaper (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reaper_(TV_series)) or Jericho (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jericho_(TV_series))? They should never have been cancelled!

Agree. Enjoyed it to start with but gave up last season when you just didn't know who was on what side as it seemed to change every episode. It seemed to be over complicated for the sheer hell of it.

Firefly was probably the best by far to not make it beyond the first series.

Last season :yay:

Apart from the inevitable "special".

So will we get an explanation. I didnt like the program after the first series, but I am looking forward to the explanation (As long as its not a Dallas 'it was all a dream' LOB)

It jumped the shark when the Island started moving about.

Lost? I've lost track of this thread.

I still think it's the best thing on TV, but they did start explaining things too much last year. Better when you don't have a clue.

Heroes I gave up on in the second series, then watched the start of the third series having heard how it had "improved". But it was even more boring, and so I gave up again. I can't believe they're still making it. Must be the same people that keep making Stargate year after year.

What was Oddessy 5? Was that the virtual reality show with Tony Head?

Oh Lord, I've been trying to persuade Mr P that Heroes has lost the plot (so have I) and it's a pie of piggy poo, but unfortunately he insists on watching it.

It's been recorded, so I'll end up watching it.

Good news however is that Being Human is back:D

Now I've read that, I've just realised that it's a rip off of HHGTTG. Except it doesn't have Vogons. :rollin:

what. no Vogons

ode to Diver

See, see the moustache sky
Marvel at its big purple depths.
Tell me, diver do you
Wonder why the moose ignores you?
Why its foobly stare
makes you feel certain.
I can tell you, it is
Worried by your runcibulous facial growth
That looks like
A sourkraut.
What's more, it knows
Your mamayev potting shed
Smells of bad egg.
Everything under the big moustache sky
Asks why, why do you even bother?
You only charm flowers.

Nah. That was VR5. I still haven't got over the shock of the video not recording the last half of the final episode.

Ah yes. Don't think I've ever seen Odessey 5.

Too many shows with 5 in the title. Blakes 7 was at least 2 better than Babylon 5, Oddessy 5, VR5, or The Famous Five, but clearly nowhere near as good as Joe 90.

Firefly was probably the best by far to not make it beyond the first series.

I also nominate The Dresden Files and Moonlight.

Both very good IMO. Both cancelled after one season.

And I'm still peeved that Sky have never shown the 2nd series of Jeremiah.

Not only that, you canna get it on DVD.

You can tell how bad Heroes is when they decided to recruit the evil guy from Prison Break (that was good back in the day). At least the Prison Break guys realised it was a load of crap and killed it off albeit a little too late...

Re these TLC2740s...
There's 2 in the stores. I'll try them out tonight. If I can find the datasheet.:eyesDouble-check that is what they are. If so, drop them in the bin.

Sorted.

If you don't know their spec., you don't need them.

If you cannot find them online, they never existed.

Platypus
11th January 2010, 18:49
Indeed.

According to Texas Instruments, they never did :D

Really?? I beg to differ!

I also wasted best part of an hour today trying to find one, just to prove Zeity wrong. And failed.

It is useless to him without the datasheet for that specific component.

Too much like Gunsmoke in space for my taste.

It was ok.

Yeah, thought they played on the Western setting too much.

I thought that Serenity was awesome though

I had books and books of datasheets, from years ago. But I think I chucked them all out. CBA to go look :tongue

TLC2740

thanks for your efforts, guys (and gals).

That's females, rather than other GALs by the way.

I don't think that datasheet is ever going to turn up.

I was only vaguely interested in what the thing was, and for two free samples, it really doesn't matter much. :rollin:

It just irritated me a bit that I couldn't find any data, and now it would appear that no one else can either. :D

I feel better now.

Oooooom.

Worryingly, it seems that CUK is now one of the web's foremost sources of information on the elusive TLC2740 :laugh

Fred: "Bill, did you put the new boy on the ceramic package printer?"

Bill: "Yes, why?"

Fred: "You do know he's dyslexic, don't you?"

Bill: "Yes, wh ... oh. Oops. How many has he cocked up?"

Fred: "Only about a gross."

Bill: "Sorry. What should we do?"

Fred: "Don't worry. I have an idea - let's turn this negative into a positive and use it as an opportunity to make Marketing look stupid."

Bill: "What are you going to do?"

Fred: "What we'll do is this..."
