Reading headlines like this makes me think the worst has yet to come...

There's a lot of people out there that need help increase of taxes looms over all as well as an increase of rates.

Me and Mrs Scooter discussed over the weekend about looking for work outside the UK after my current gig, the idea has been getting more attention this past month than ever before.. .. .

What's going to happen when unemployment really rises this year?

It's been a bit of rubbish recession if the worst is not yet to come. Low interest rates, house prices rising, public sector booming...

Anyone who spends more than they earn should be in deep trouble. Yet somehow it has become not only acceptable but seen as helping the economy.

I think some of the blame for that comes from Blair, who addressed the nation not long after the Afgan invasion in early 2002(?) and basically told us: "Spend, spend, spend. I cannot emphasise this enough. It's good for everyone."

Come to think of it, I've never heard a Labour government minister advising people to be prudent. At least the tories introduced those PEPs and things.

Ta, I was trying to remember when Blair made that speech. Wasn't he also trying to promote the idea of going out as a family and shopping as well?

Nothing would change if you became unemployed...

                Or if SKA disappeared ...

PS in 2008 weren't you predicting I would be made unemployed in 2009.
There's yet another prediction you got wrong.
Also thanks for your tax contributions towards my bonus last year and also hopefully this year. I'll think of you in my Jag - or maybe not.

ETA: seems like a good idea if you can put mortgage payments through the CC (provided you pay the balance off each month) gaining up to 1 month's free interest on the money plus any points, air miles etc.
