    Book of the decade

Which book has made the most impact on you?
Rules are YOU CAN ONLY POST ONE!

    Mine is:

Austerlitz by WG Sebald - a strange hypnotic style of writing, the dreamlike and haunting sequence at the start reminded me of when I first read the start of Great Expectations at age 8.

Definitely one to read again and again.

The decade is only 14 days old - a bit early to nominate 'book of the decade' perhaps?

That's the first time I've been called a pedant this decade!

The last decade is 1991-2000. The current decade is 2001-2010, which I assume is what you were referring to.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

              OK...

I think my favourite was 'Life of Pi' - thought it was a fantastic book.

Closely followed by 'The Book Thief' - a really good read.

Teach Yourself .NET in 21 Days, and then invoice £500 a day for a decade.

                  What a read that was!

                    Night Elie Wiesel

I picked the book up on a plane (someone had left it).

                    I knew nothing about it.

It simply blew me away, it made me realise how lucky we are in this time and how much history had to teach us.

                    Read it...
Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.

Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.
