How to get out of contracting?

I've been contracting 10 years, I've made good money. I still make good money, but I'm tired.

I feel like I want to stack shelves in Asda for a while.

Anyone made a successful escape? How did you do it?

I imagine not applying for contracts would be a good start.

What do you want to do?

Train for it, apply for jobs in your desired occupation - also meeting people who are currently doing it to ask their advice.

      - that's a good start.

Start your own business (a real one, not a contracting convenience)? Or do you really want (to quote American Beauty) the minimum responsibility possible, just a job to fill your time and pay the bills?

Not done it as I like contracting and have been at it about 19 years now.

I'd imagine the simple answer is to get a permie job...

I suggest you take some of the money you made contracting and get your head examined!

If you are tired, take 3 months off, go some where fab. and relax.

You're a contractor, get with the program.
                Fiscal nomad it's legal.

Better get your name on the supermarket's waiting list first! AFAIAA all of the big stores have long waiting lists for jobs.
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

Turn left, follow the corridor, take 2nd door on the right.
