    Tory Marriage Tax stuff

So all this stuff in the news about Tax breaks for Married Couples, is this all our known and loved s660 'Income Shifting' or are they planning on something else entirely?
Politicians are wonderfull people, as long as they stay away from things they don't understand, like working for a living!

Nobody knows. Including the tories. But it will be "something". And Ed Balls is deriding it, so it must be worthwhile.

      Bringing back married couples allowance?

      That would be nice...

That'll include all the lesbian & gay married couples. I am so looking forward to the Daily Mail headline about that!

"Straight tax to pay for queer goings on!"

          or maybe better...

"Government announces tax relief for hand relief"

My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.

How? Man gets woman pregnant, she has a baby, he runs out on them and marries someone else. He gets the tax relief, she doesn't. Is that moral?

Did you reason that out all by yourself, or are you quoting verbatim from the response given by some politician this morning on the news?

The question is completely irrelevant anyway. It's a MARRIED couples allowance. Not a PARENTS allowance.

Yes, because by now she has the house, the kid, a fat maintenance cheque every month and government benefits.

The man has paid and will continue to pay for 18-21 years more.

Thanks. I wasn't sure which one it was that was dribbling on and on.
