    I'm in the 'sweet spot'

Between being offered the role and signing the contract...

Told them I wanted weekly payment terms - heard the agent wince.

    What else would you demand?

        Well done that Tingles.

Weekly. Agent will prob whinge, wring his/her hands but I'd just bat the "I'm a business and need to minimise exposure to risk in the current climate, just being professional, I'm sure you understand that agencies are going out of business all the time" line right back at 'em.

All the best and more room for my bum on the bench

            Security deposit.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Not sure I'd call it the sweet spot, more like the Purgatory spot.

I'd also enquire about their invoice receipt-to-payment times. It's no good having a weekly "frequency" if there's a 40 day lag before each is paid and they go belly up owing you several weeks.

                  I asked that it's 12 days.

Ask for some dancing girls and a circus every Tuesday.

Other than than hold out and sign on the dotted line..

Good luck and hopefully they'll throw some candyfloss and popcorn in with the deal.
