One Oracle developer, subject to contract and security clearance - kerching!

Initial 6 month contract, but project go-live (if it's on schedule) is March 2014, and have already been told by the interviewers that they are looking for people who are going to spend a couple of years there.

Shame it's away from home again, but the rate is pretty good and I'll get plenty more frequent flier miles.

Recession, what recession - it only took 5 months off to get an offer through....

Thanks one and all - not exactly what I want to be doing, but the long-term-ness of it makes it a no-brainer really.

Just need them to find my clearance and get it sorted out before I can turn up...

                    Well done.

I hope you won't have to use trains where you need to bend over out of the window in order to exit them.
