I'd say given improvements in warfare and much different NATO tactics designed to save lifes of soldiers mujahuddins did extremely well in 2009.

Did you watch the show?
This lot were properly incompetent.
- They forgot which one of the remotes fired which roadside bomb.
- They let the first target drive past.
- They fired a roadside IED after the target had gone by. The escort fired off 3/4 bursts and got away.
- They missed with the RPG (fair enough).
- Then, they blamed the remotes - firing off the second one which went bang instantaneously.
- They reported to their boss that they had blown up a tank, and killed 5-6 Afghan police.
