The Hurt Locker - Oscar nominated but is it any good?

    Anyone seen it? Any good?

the reviews on Amazon aren't exactly superb.

I wondering if to invest in a copy.

I'd say it's a in-yer-face one hell of an explosive movie...

      http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0887912/

The reviews on IMDB are more favourable, 8/10 is a good score.

The Amazon reviews aren't too bad are they? You've got to remember thick people like to ridicule what they don't understand.

very good if you like tense action, ending a tad obvious but overall I rate it

It's one of the better war films in recent memory.

It draws you in to feeling symapthy toward the characters and is even funny at times but without detracting from the action or seriousness of the subject matter. Certainly a cut above Jarhead / Buffalo Soldiers etc.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Watched it when it came out but at home (from t'internet).

I enjoyed it but couldn't understand what all the hype was about.

The copy I had was good so didn't detract from the movie.

Perhaps it would have lived up to the hype if I had paid £15 for a cinema ticket and taken out a second mortgage for a tub of stale popcorn and cup of flat Coke but I doubt it.
