    If that's what it's like in Washington, spare a thought for the poor sods who live in Minnesota.

    Each time I look as a US temperature chart, it seems to be a series of concentric rings, going from red to blue, and ever bluer, until it reaches the centre there at about -50.

    Mind you, they're probably so used to the cold that 10 foot snow falls are little more than a minor inconvenience.
