When I was 7 I loved Airfix models

I built more Spitfires than the Air Ministry!

Lots of small bits, glue, paint, decals, what more does a 7 year old need to make a mess but get real sense of achievement and having made something that you can play with using your imagination?

Oh yeah, I learned my basic flying skills playing with Airfix models
