I had an interview Monday and I'm waiting to hear from the agency. The phone refuses to ring. I need to inform my current client of my intentions - this is serving to add to the stress.

I'm feeling like but the reality is

Until I get "the call" I consider the job non existent and how can you wait for something that does not exist?

It is really not worth stressing about "maybe"....

Once they have phoned you will only start stressing about "I haven't got the contract yet".... then "they haven't returned the signed contract yet"... then etc etc...

If it was anything other than stone dead the agent would be calling every hour just to check you're still alive. Give them a call and say you're assuming after 2 days it's dead - anything response other than desperate protestations mean it is.
