I had one that did that too. Then I moved it away from the radiator and it worked fine.

ADSL has really crappy reliability. If only my village had cabled internet I would not touch ADSL

I was tempted by virgin/ntl but am staying on adsl & Demon, it's fairly good (touch wood)
