Damn it woman, use frightening or scary.

simple logic suggests to me that scarifying is a mix of scary and terrifying - I don't see where frightening gets into the picture.

But that is probably just me.

I worked on a very large project, we quite often had to guy who did the "help" for the application, come to the office shouting "stop making up words" or “every word does not use ing at the end” after receiving the latest batch of documentation.
