Hell on Earth: the leaving presentation

ClientCo are having redundancies (for no immediately obvious reason).

One poor sod with 20+ years experience was just subjected to the humiliation of a leaving presentation in the huge open plan office. They then had to do the "Sorry I'm leaving" speech.

Groups of others are having to re-apply for their own jobs.

    Who'd be a permie?
My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.

Can't the Tories put that into their election advertising?

I notice the London Underground has electronic ad posters now, how cool it would be to see the whole escalator length of those showing that avatar!

I had to do my own leaving presentation this week. Luckily I'm doing the leaving, and I'm leaving for a better paid contract.

My speech was crap and half-hearted. I was leaving them and they all knew it (One poor chap once had to give a leaving speech when his contract was terminated...!) Still, you never know when you might work with various folk again so best to be on good form.

                  Easy,
Have your leaving drinks on the penultimate day.. and dont bother coming in the last day.
