    Falklands oil

Tragic as the earthquake in Chile was, I was wondering if it had any impact on the oil drilling and exploration for oil in the Falklands.
The_Equalizer, has it made any difference to things ?

Apparently when they last drilled (1982?) they only recovered 10 litres of oil.

Zero, but the share price has been pushed right down by the Market Makers/Argentine worries (depending on your point of view). Not helped by that Clinton women either. All that said, there's a nice little bounce going on today.

Yup, I've had a spread bet on whilst I organise getting some actual shares into a SIPP.

Was down £200+ yesterday. Now only down £140 ish...

Now heading back in the right direction. There are loads of people making noises about the market makers walking down the price to fill big orders. I must admit I can easily see how this works. Thankfully I'm back in the blue. It should all be academic if you're sticking about for the whole campaign.

Anyway, I've agreed a new contract starting four days after this one, on a (slightly) higher rate and in the back arse of the UK. This means I can still avoid the London commute - oh happy days.

"Falklands Oil"? I think you'll find it will be "USA's oil" by the time drilling starts.
My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.
