    a) What was the film like?
    b) If you've posted this using your phone and you are presently sitting in the cinema waiting for the film to start prepare to get seriously flamed.

      Because you're on a promise?

Went to the bar 20, stayed there 40 mins, caught the last bit.

It was 3d but no where near as good as avatar.

          Green zone looks good though

I just got 'Attack on Leningrad' - loved it! stole it, but loved it and I will now buy the BlueRay version thereby proving piracy is a good thing.

I saw it on Thursday night and thought it was OK.

Had to watch in 2D because the 3D showing had sold out. That didn't bother me too much because, as I understand it, the film was not made for 3D and the 3D was a post-production afterthought. Plus the 2D showing was in the theatre where you watch in large reclining armchairs and can order food and drinks from the comfort of your chair.

I do generally enjoy the Tim Burton and Johnny Depp combinations although I don't think this was the best one.

Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham-Carter were both excellent. It was a perfectly good film in my book.

How does it compare to the Jan Svankmajer version?

I've heard it's good, but no point watching it in 3D (I hear 15 mins at the start and another 10 at the end are 3D, the rest is not really 3D at all)
