    Xmas Comedy

Watching Wossey at Christmas and for a change he had Ricky Gervais on as a guest. One of the reasons for him being on the show was that the Office was voted best Xmas comedy !

I like a good laugh - Phoenix Nights, Python, early Steve Martin films, Early Mel Brooks, Fools & Horses, posts by Chico to name a few, but I really can't see the attraction to the Office. To me best described as midly amusing & cringe making.

So is the Office the best thing ever to happen to British Comedy or over-hyped drivel ?

Quite good, but you're right - seriously over-hyped. Like all one-gag shows, it would have worked better as a one-off special. Gervais is funny though, his stand-up shows are good.
His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...

Wait 'til you see the German version, Stromberg . That is pure and utter crap.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.
