    More manufacturing moved to China

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8571755.stm

The maker of the black taxi cab, Manganese Bronze, says it is to move manufacturing of its TX4 vehicles' body panels and chassis to China.

The move will cost 60 jobs in Coventry in the West Midlands, the firm says.
Still, they can always get jobs in McDs or Starbucks.

Not in Coventry they won't. Surprisingly, it is nearly the most depressed part of the UK for unemployment.

When you think of all the industrial areas of the UK that are now wastelands of derelict factories and warehouses or expanses of rough concrete foundations where dreams and fortunes were once built, remember to add the West Midlands.
My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.
