There was cross-party condemnation yesterday of former ministers - including Mr Byers, Patricia Hewitt and Geoff Hoon - who were caught in an undercover "sting" operation for a television documentary, to be broadcast on Channel 4's Dispatches this evening.

Surely this is a huge step up from the 'cash for questions' thing that dogged the Tories.

Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

I preferred version 1!

One of these MPs under fire for cash for influence is Patricia Hewitt. Hang on, where have we heard that name before?

How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
