What is it with the British workman?

Why is it that he is invariably a cock-up merchant? Needed a new pane of glass for the shower/steamer/jacuzzi thingy. Glazier comes in and measures it last Monday. On wednesday brings it in, glass is wrong size FFS.
Re-orders, due in on friday, says could not make it.
Meant to come today - hasn't.

Should have got a fooking Pole. mad

Would be funny if it wasn't so tragic that the only competent people are foreign.

You may be drawing your conclusions too quickly. Where was it manufactured?

Of course, if the manufacturing's outsourced, a good tradesman should check the materials before coming to the client, but it may be that he measured correctly and they made it wrong.

Yes a shower curtain would have been a better solution.

I doubt it was manufactured abroad, as he mentioned something about it being a foreign shower and that that English glaziers didn't do 5mm width (or some other such bollux).
                Either way my comment stands.
