    How long would you wait

Currently hanging on a conferance call waiting for the suppliers who set it up to actually join. They are currently 6 minutes late.

    How long would you wait?

    <puts phone down>

You were 1 minute longer than I'd be...

    HTH.

If it's a free call, I'll wait forever, just counting how much I'm earning for doing nothing.

If it's not, give them 10 minutes then leave, send them an email, and reschedule.
If you have to add a , it isn't funny. HTH. LOL.

How long is your contract? I'd wait that long.

I save that approach for the people paying my invoice...

            Oooh , I'd say about.....

            15 mins, then re-schedule.

Invoice the supplier directly for the .25 hours, so your client can be
compensated for the suppliers mis-use of your time.

There must be a mathematical formulae for working out the waiting time taking into consideration, length of conference/meeting, importance of meeting, number of people in meeting, value of disruption, waiting time etc.

I think it's more of a trade off between
                  1. how important the meeting is to you
                  2. how important the meeting is to the organisers (if you didn't organise it)
                  3. how important your presence at the meeting is

if 1 is on top then wait
if 2 and 3 are more important than hang up and wait for someone to email/call your mobile with an apology for being late!
