Tarquin is right - Labour will win the election, barely

That's because in the post_industrial society that is Britain, most people are employed in the public sector. These people know where their bread is buttered and they have nothing to gain by voting Tory.
Also in spite of the biggest recession in recent history, most of these people have not felt the pain - but very few of them have the analytical skills to realise that's because of the government's borrowing and "creation" of money and that it cannot continue indefinitely.

In any case it may be that the only alternative to have such a large public sector is to have unemployment at the 15%-20% mark - the country's cake (private sector) is now too small to employ those who may be trimmed by any austerity measures.
    Hard Brexit now!

Returning Gordon Brown to No. 10 is the best thing that could happen to the UK.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

I work in the Public Sector and I'm not voting for the Labourazi Party. Never have done. I don't see it as a conflict of interests at all.

Then again, I don't have an imaginary Guardian Type job such as 5-a-day coordinator and welfare implementer for disaffected rodents in Camden.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Yes. Why put the recovery at risk?

The way forward for this country is to keep borrowing billions and employ everybody in the public sector. You know it makes sense.

Once the masses are slaves labouring away in pen pushing jobs they will keep voting the socialists in power till eternity.
Vote Corbyn ! Save this country !

Utter utter bollox. If that were true, the polls and the election would demonstrate a much larger Labour vote. The fact is, many people (even in public sector jobs) are dyed in the wool Tories who would never vote any other way.
