Try installing the TinEye plugin and then you can see where images are also used, i.e. try it on some of the avatars here...

You shouldn't be embarrased. I should. I should be ashamed of myself.

I was hoping for one of the images to have someone photoshop-replaced like in the infamous Microsoft snafu (http://www.engadget.com/2009/08/25/microsoft-sucks-at-photoshop/)

I've always found it quite amusing that the girl on Head First Design Patterns (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0596007124/) can also be found advertising Vagisil (http://www.vagisil.com/teencenter.shtml) :laugh

Then you should probably also be worried by Jeff Atwood (http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2005/09/head-first-design-patterns.html) :nerd

I'm surprised that particular picture is so popular considering the lengths some companies go to in order to push their 'diversity' credentials.

Remember this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8221896.stm

And anyone who has worked on an HP site would think they had joined the UN judging by the gumph plastered all over the walls.

It's like they say: everyone in IT is a man, or used to be. :rollin:

I once sub-contracted some work to a software house in Cambridge. After a meeting with a couple of their techies I returned to the office and reported back to my manager. He asked "what do you think then?"

I replied that I thought we could do business and that the girl "xxxxx" seemed particularly clued up!

Everyone in the office burst out laughing as I was told that "xxxxx" used to be called "David" and hadn't I seen the size of "her" hands!

I used to work with a boy named Sue. He was a pre-op.

Interesting link someone provided there in the comments to tineye.com, a reverse image search engine.

Trying one random image taken from the internet produces:
