Liked the homage to the test card in the lift, the minute it started with those 'smillers' I knew it was a Steven Moffat story - great!
I think the 'Dr your our only hope' - was an affectionate nod at Star Wars and not meant as a rip off.
I'm a big Terry Pratchet fan and yet failed to spot the similarity with A'tuin, but now you mention it .. oh yeah.
