Hacker's mum to stand against Jack Straw for the General Election !!!

This is quite funny, she's going in as an independent, she reckons that our civil liberties are being erroded - I kinda agree with her on many levels but standing against a Minister is quite a bold and brave thing to do.

    Here it is ....

Or you could even link to the more detailed BBC News story that Y! News took "their" story from

Anyway, good luck to her: it's an excellent way of bringing wider attention to that one-sided extradition treaty that is one of the more egregious things (apart from wars, obviously) that this Government has perpetrated in the name of the "war on terror" (aka "sucking up to the US").

Good luck to her. I really hope she wins.

Best of luck to her. Jack Straw is by far the creepiest, shadowy sleazeball out of the lot of them.

Not really bold & brave IMO. Just a bit of fun.

Running for election is on my list of top 10 things to do before I die list. A friend of mine has run in the last three elections.

Now if the Tories, libs and everyone else were to stand down and back her things could get really really interesting. They won't though.

With Blackburn being a high Asian area an anti anti terror law mandate will go down well.

Straw is a cretin of the highest order and deserves to be publicly humiliated by this woman. A real Hamilton moment in the making. Please god, make it happen.

Having read the title again, this would have been so much sweeter if it had said

She might get enough vote to hers back though. I couldn't careless about McKinnon, per se, but the inequality of the extradition agreement is shameful, and it'd be brilliant if Straw was unseated!

Slightly IT geeky bloke with Aspergers, lacks social skills does something he shouldn't have done and then tries to argue the toss to get away with it.

If he posted on here, that wouldn't narrow it down to which poster it was much would it!
