    Home Town Delicacies....

I think most of us have moved away from our hometown, for me the one thing I miss/crave/get loads of when I'm there - from my home town (of Bolton) are Carr's Pasties.

Eating three of now - yum...

But in Bolton we have had Pastie Wars, some prefer Carr's - others the Ye Olde Pastie Shoppe variety from their bastard 'shoppe' on Churchgate..

Both trounce Greggs offerings, even Ginsters, but I am a Carr's man, to the core.

    Or is it Carrs' Pasties?

    Any others have cravings?

I think Carr's pasties have anticlockwise riffles along the edge, whereas I prefer clockwise.

      It's got to be Greenhalgh's!

I used to miss Warbie's bread, but you can get that down here now too!

Proper spare ribs i.e. salted pork ribs.

Cook until falling off the bone and serve with boiled spuds, cabbage and a knob of butter.

              Not exactly my home town....

Oakham: Rutland Ales (use to be Ruddles) plus the Grainstore

but to be honest I even miss Wisbech = Elgoods...... and Elgoods is Tulip.... or possibly Pish!
