    Additional consequences of the volcano.

IATA are comparing it to 9/11 in terms of costs to the airline industry.

Schools are having to decide whether they have enough staff to open.

Warehouses are full because no airfreight is moving. Production/manufacturing stops.

    What else is affected.

As a plus point there's loads of sandwiches available in the canteen as no one told the kitchen that the 40 vistors from the UK will not be coming today.

Key IT staff are stuck in Disneyland™? I expect a few urgent contracts on Jobserve by lunchtime.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

We might actually have to start eating seasonal fruit and veggies

Kiwi fruits, mangoes etc. to be replaced with good old Cox's Orange Pippins and Bramleys. On the plus side eating fruit/veg that hasn't been shipped halfway round the world usually results in a better standard of product...

I am finding it funny that unversity students/ GCSE students are complaining that they would not be able to make it back to UK to give their exams.

          har har !

Serves them right going off around the planet instead of studying for exams. When I was studying I would be cramming for exams when exams were round the corner.

Fruit? You've never seen fruit unless it's fermented and poured into a glass!

Speaking of which, less new world and imported wines and more English wines.
