We talk about LabLibDem but if Tories get a non-majority, who would they team up with?

Why no talk of a Tory-LibDem Coalition?

They aren't natural bed-fellows..."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."
- Voltaire/Benjamin Franklin/Anne Frank... -
SNP - Only likely to get about 15 MPs and they are lefties, but they have a common enemy in Labour, and giving more Scottish independence would scotch Labour's principle power-base in the UK.
UKIP - not likely to have many MPs, if any.
The Irish - I've forgotten who is what over there, but I think some are Tory-minded.
Frank Field - only likely to be one MP thoughComment

LibDems are still largely a democratically run party with strong influence from the grass roots level on party policy. The majority of LibDem party members wouldn't wear a LibCon pact even if Conservative Central Office wanted it.
Apart from policy differences thats the big differentiator between the LibDems and Labour/Conservative. The two main parties are very tightly controlled from the center and the membership has very little say in party policy."Being nice costs nothing and sometimes gets you extra bacon" - Pondlife.Comment

LibDem policies seem to be more left wing than Labour (i.e. less tax for the poor, promising to pay for it with tax rises for the rich and anti-avoidance measures that we know won't work, not paying back the deficit, etc.). Perhaps a Lab-Con coalition is more likely than a Lib-Con.Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment
