    Picasso

Picasso painting sets new world record for art sold at auction - Times Online

I quite like it, and someone else obviously does, seeing as he’s paid 70 million quiddles for it. But it seems that the name 'Picasso' makes the price; I wouldn't say it's his most exciting painting, but I suppose you can see the beginnings of the style he used for Guernica. Cool stuff, but bloody expensive.

Am I the only one that thinks there's something Irish about it?

    It's a Pabble O'Picasso.

        What's your favourite painting then?

        Does it involve norks?

Yep, v good indeed. Trouble is, since the development of cameras, paintings that visually resemble the subject perhaps don’t really serve a purpose; you may as well take a photo.

                    How about this?

I saw this in Madrid, and stood looking for a while, then went and had lunch and came back to look again. It works for me, and certainly puts that 70million quid ‘floozy with shamrocks’ into perspective.
