    So Gordon remains prime minister?

Surely there's no reason for Gordon to go.

    Tories 289 +91 36.1
    Labour 246 -85 29.2
    LibDem 051 -06 22.9
    Others 027 000 11.8%

There's the Conservatives, and everyone else, who are the anti-Conservatives.

Gordon will head an anti-Conservative alliance.

So if just a handful of the Independents swore allegiance to the Queen they could wreak more havoc than blowing up the odd shopping centre.

If the percentage share of the vote between Tories and Labour were reversed, the result would be:
      Labour 372 36.1 - decent working majority
      Tories 181 29.2
      LibDem 068 22.9
      Others 029 11.8%

        Aye. Just what is needed.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Democratic Unionists are more right leaning aren't they?

          Sinn Fein don't vote

Greens won't join anybody prefering to remain the fly in everyone's ointment.

          Plaid are guns for hire

SNP to an extent are the same but hate all the English so probably won't join any coalitions.

Still up in the air for another week I say...

Edit: sorry that looks horrible - linky

If lib dems demand and get PR.
Then we get a perpetual anti-Conservative alliance.
Lib dems and labour in power forever.

Erm nobody ever voted for Gordon as PM and since he has taken the role his party have lost seats.

So there is absolutley no reason for him to remain.

It does look as if ElGordo can run a minority government pretty easy - with the odd bribe here and there to the smaller parties.

I really don't want two newbie fresh outta college kids running the economy. Ming on the other hand....

The public have not voted in an alternative so it is his duty to remain.
