Why not do it like over here, not on a working day. There are elections in NRW on the 9th May which is a Sunday, not a working weekday. I've been along to many polling stations here, and even voted, and you see families all going along, taking a Sunday constitutional and voting at the same time. Maybe there would be even more people voting then.

Maybe they should have made special election day that is a fully paid holiday for everyone apart from greedy contractors... you know the types?

Maybe the law could be changed so that when you vote, you get your polling card stamped, and you can't buy booze on polling day without a stamped polling card!

In Britain, Sunday is a working day and nobody walks.
