    Something to rely on

Pound plummeting, taxes rising, inflation rampant, unemployment growing......but at least amongst all this you can rely on house prices booming!

BBC News - UK house prices rose in March, says government

The annual rate of house price increases reached its highest level since November 2007, the government's own data shows.

Property prices rose by 9.7% year-on-year in March - the 12th consecutive month of annual price rises, the Department for Communities said.

Recession? People have never had it so good. I blame Gordon.

Thanks for reminding me to check exchange rates... 1.46?! What brought that on? Glad I couldn't be arsed to move all my company money back to £ on Monday like I planned...

The pound had dropped nearly 30% against the USD since November 2007.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

People without houses are getting poorer, as are people with houses that want better houses. We're getting poorer. Pretty soon the cost of more basic things has surely got to rise too. Boomed. And all Cameron's fault.
