    Jacqui Smith

    BBC News - Jacqui Smith adjusts to life after election defeat

    "For Richard to have to literally stay in the house with the curtains drawn for weeks on end. It was hard and I don't see why they should have to put up with it."
    I think he was doing that before the controversy!

    Hateful woman.

      If she's married surely she should be Mrs. Smith yet newspaper reports call her Ms. Is there something we don't know about?
      Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

        Miss = Not married
        Mrs = Married
        Ms = Woman (married or otherwise)

        Now, I for one never knew she was a woman!

          You're quite right:

          "Ms is nowadays fully acceptable when a woman wants to be called thus, or when it is not known for certain if she is Mrs or Miss"
          Mind you I was always taught that you used Ms. for a divorcee or widow
