    MSc in Financial Mathematics

Currently doing this part time, via distance learning.
    Thought it might be interesting.
    Fook me, its stretching.
Anyone else doing a tough evening/distance course?
What do you do to motivate yourself when it all becomes too much?
    Hard Brexit now!

spent 4 years studying for my masters part time in operational research, you've got to love study - the lectures are only an opportunity for you to ask questions and not much else.

I do a tough evening last the distance course about once a week. Normally on Friday's.

I find the prospect of a taxi home helps when it all becomes too much.

You should keep as much distance from proper science as possible.

            Good stuff....

Is this part time or completely distance learning?

I did look for for something like this but I could only find part-time.
            I'm alright Jack

Err....have you thought about the fact that maybe the course was a bit too 'advanced' for you ?

Try MSC in landscaping or media and communications.

A cretin like you wouldn't get through the introductory module on this course.

DId I say it was too hard? Its the volume of work required, on top of being in a full time job, that's the issue. But on the whole, if you like maths, quite enjoyable.

                    Currently doing AAT (accounting) because
                    (i) I want to have the confidence to ditch my own number bods completely and understand how to do it all myself
(ii) I have an awful lot of free time on my hands at the moment hanging around in departure lounges and hotel rooms and need something to keep my brain busy
(iii) Toying with a future plan B of operating part time as a ltdco / sole trader doing bookkeeping stuff
(iv) Toying with a complete career change - maybe ACA - when HM Govt halt the contracting gravy train which I expect them to do circa 2012/13.
