After 6 pints are you sure it wasn't you that broke the systems?

And which hostelry were you frequenting this lunchtime?
Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.

These days if I had six pints in a session, it would be potentially fatal for me. Three is about my limit these days. If I try four I regret it.

I was never one for lunchtime drinking when in a contract. Just not worth the grief. Even if things are OK, there is always the anti-contractor permies that complain about paying loads of money for someone who has been drinking, etc.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

To be honest, I'm no permie but I'd be complaining too.

Simple rule. The contractors pay for all the rounds.

Or do as I did, and find the permie DBA responsible for all the chaos and recomend sacking the useless w*nker.

Just hope that there is a toilet in the directors office otherwise you will need an emergency meeting with the dry cleaners if you wet yourself

I never regret the beer. I often regret going back to the office though.
