    Firing Squad

BBC News - Utah firing squad execution for Ronnie Lee Gardner

Bollocks about the guards not knowing if they fired the blank. Any one who has fired high velocity rifles will know how different it feels.

Although I don't agree with the death penaltywith the 'innocent man argument' this method is surely prefable to that farce that is lethal injection.

The "blank" in this case is actually a non lethal round with a very similar recoil to a regular round of ammunition.

None of the firing squad will ever know for sure if he fired a lethal shot. One gun was loaded with a dummy - probably wax - bullet, which is said to deliver the same recoil as a live round.

Surely the sensible thing to do would be to give them all proper bullets. Or use some sort of contraption involving a shotgun, a piece of string tied to his knob and a porno movie.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

          And your point is ?

For the wax round to be non-lethal it will have to disintegrate which will allow the gases to escape up the barrel less opposed than with a real round. An experienced rifleman will known the difference but only the one firing the blank.

You're assuming that the wax would disintegrate in the barrel

Well if it is hard enough with withstand the impact of the hot, high velocity gases in the barrel it is a projectile in its own right and will cause nearly the efferct as a real bullet when hitting the soft flesh of a human.

The clue is in the wording, it's a "non lethal round", that doesn't mean it can't f**king hurt when it hits you

Would a barrel full of molten wax not make the rifle somewhat broken?

Surely the easiest way is to put real ammo in all the guns but tell them that one is firing a blank. They will all feel the same recoil and you'll have an even deader person as an extra bonus.
