    I don't know why I bothered...

...to try and earn a decent wage.

I had a pretty poor year contract wise in 2009 so I'm now a poor permy. The wife just informed me we've been 'awarded' a lump sum of £3.5k in tax credits.

I'd just like to take this opertunity to thank all you hard working people, we're ever so grateful.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

So you are getting some of your tax back? Well why the hell not?
    Hope it helps a bit.

      3.5K? So a week's pay. (I am kidding - I'm not Joey/Chloe!)

Seriously - if you're entitled to it, claim it. And if you've got enough spare, make sure you enjoy it!

How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
