Bug in the CUK "Accept Friend" menu

Someone kindly sent me an invite, and I'm happy to add them as a friend. But clicking on the submit button seems to do nothing.

So it still shows "Notifications 1", and presumably they have had no response.

    Anyone else had this?

You have to tick the box next to their name before you press submit IIRC.

It was a while ago though.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Bingo - That did it. Many thanks!

Obviously the idea was that people might have stacks of friend requests and have to wade through them all deciding which to accept.

Bit optimistic for CUK isn't it?

I had one once, and then the swine admitted they were just testing out the feature.

And I'm such a likeable bloke too.

Is there such a thing as an Enemy request??

It just took me about three goes to get it right on the dev server - I don't think they thought that bit through very well

There's a checkbox which, in their infinite wisdom, they've positioned over the avatar of the person making the request. If you select that before the "Save Changes" button (or, if you only have the one, use the "Select all" checkbox at the top) then it should work.

I'll redesign that bit; it looks like they built it in the expectation of avatars not being shown, then decided to add the avatars in and show them by default, and didn't bother testing it - it shows the same brokenness on the default theme, so it isn't just a CUK thing.
