    Red Bull gives you wings...

Quite literally in Mark Webber's case

BBC Sport - F1 - Mark Webber flips out of European Grand Prix

To think that he strolled out of it as if he'd just parked up at the supermarket.

Great onboard shot as he flips over...

    At least he's alright.

Just show's how much the car safety has advanced in F1

Scared the crap out of me when I was watching, though he didn't fare too well off the grid.

At least Alonso got overtaken in the last lap

Edit: the sadists at the BBC are making Webber talk them through it.

Oh dear yes - he had another hissy fit . He might still finish fourth though.

Yes, you could hear his race engineer trying to 'manage his hissy' over the radio. I just just imagine the words that he really wanted to use.

I thought that retrospective penalties only applied if there isn't enough time to apply them during the race (last 3 laps ???). Surely they would have known if they have gone too fast - and if they have, they should all have received drive-through penalties during the race, like Lewis did (although his was for a difference offence).

I suspect a load of drivers will end up with a grid drop for the next race.

What Hamilton did (and it certainly looked like he was guilty), didn't actually affect Alonso. That wasn't the reason Alonso was 9th, it was just the reason Hamilton was 2nd. If Hamilton had slowed behind the safety car maybe they'd have been 8th and 9th. It's pure spite from Alonso.

Yes, but it wasn't all that heavy an impact, not compared to Kubica's at Canada a couple of years ago. It looks spectacular, but the really scarey thing about that is not that the driver gets hurt, but that the car, or bits of the car, go flying over the fences into spectators.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Agreed. If Alonso had concentrated on driving his own race instead of trying to get other driver's penalties, he might have gained a few more places.
