    Anyone heard of LogicaCMG ?

Just beefing up my CV on Linkedin, and could find no trace of CMG Ltd, where I was at for a few months around 2001.

A bit of sleuthing indicated that they were now called LogicaCMG. But their home page, quoted here, on a page updated a few days ago, reports "Invalid Hostname"

Have they changed name yet again, or did someone forget to renew their domain name?

BTW, I assume it would be insane to request linkedin recommendations from former clients, as the pimps would then have a ready-made source of contacts.

I did a stint there when they had the CMG bit. I'd keep it with that but on

Yes, the CMG acquisition introduced a few pockets of competence. They must have all been eliminated now.

I have done very well clearing up the mess left by various Logica projects. Why companies still use them I don’t know.

I don't claim to know much. But I do know that LogicaCMG are a bunch of incompetants.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

I am so glad that I am not alone in my opinion of them.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Many years ago when the merger occured I was invited for an interview there and was told that 'there is no secrets there and each employee can read any other employee's C.V.'

I just thought that was a bit unconventional, so I didn't apply. I thought all of Logica was farmed out to India, I know that Logica CMG is their I.T. finance arm but I thought that it had been severely reduced in the U.K., they once had big offices in London (Euston & Poland Street) ... all gone now ...
