    Spanish sporting achievements

What an amazing sporting month for Spain. First Nadal winning Wimbledon, then the World Cup; now it looks like Contador will win his 3rd Tour de France.
Ok, so Murray's a possible future winner of Wimbledon, but does anyone expect to see a British winner in the other 2 events in their lifetime? (you never know with cycling, but I can't see it happening in football)
Speaking gibberish on internet talkboards since last Michaelmas. Plus here on Twitter

They're definitely doing something right. Their tennis domination is particularly impressive as even if you take Nadal away from the list they have plenty of other good players. They even taught that Murray twunt the game.

Cycling is easy to predict I'd have thought. Whoever injects the most steroids without getting caught tends to win.

Although I've wondered if that's the case with the majority of high intensity sports. There are those athlete's that are clean - and then those who win.

Don't forget Fernando Alonso for the F1 Grand Prix, another "Spanish" champion.

Now if they could only get their economy and industry sorted out. ......

All they need to do is to sell "cheap" villas to gullible foreigners and then confiscate them due to planning permission problems...

Surely you mean Spanish "champion"? Or at least 2010 German Grand Prix "winner".
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

I am Spanish and am proud of our achievements in
sports, but economically and socially the country
is headed for Third-world status. Sort of European
                  Argentina.

Anyway, another country ruined by Socialists (in
despite of the ubiquitous Santander branches in
the UK, Scottish Power owned by Iberdrola, O2
                  by Telefonica, etc).
