    Bike building programme on BBC4

    Gosh.

It cost £4k for the bits.

I wonder how much it cost to fly the crew around the world to get the bits?

    Pushbike.

Very expensive pushbike using bits from the UK (frame & saddle), gearset and handlebars from Italy, wheels from California, bearing thingie for steering from Oregon, tyres from Germany.

Looked quite pretty when it was done.

The saddle alone was more or less handmade & cost a very reasonable £90.

    Looked uncomfortable to me though.

    pushbike or motorbike?
Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.

You'd need to be working for the BBC to be able to afford to build it.

Aside from the odd one or two who wouldn't let him film inside.
We still make stuff & have factories!!
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

"Coast" is also a cracking series. I always end up glued to it when watching, even though initial expectations usually start off quite low.
