    It's getting a bit hot in the Space Station

    Spacewalks planned to fix station coolant problem | The Space Shot - CNET News

    And now a solar flare as well.

    Sounds like gas mark III to me.

    Can't they open a window or sumfink?
    How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

          Don't they have a soyuz thing as an emergency escape vehicle?

              Space station astronauts arrive and depart via three-person Russian Soyuz spacecraft. One of these remains at the station at all times, specifically as an escape pod.

              Since there are only three astronauts on the space station at any given time, all three could evacuate via a Soyuz craft, even without a visiting space shuttle.


              So you can all sleep well tonight.

              PS for thoese who dont know - these Soyuz sapcecraft are pretty tiny and cramped (Ive been inside a mockup Soyuz)

                Actually, the ISS now runs with a full crew of six. But there is two Soyuz craft.
                How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

                  Oops- I meant to say a minimunm of three - wasnt so long ago there was at least ten of em up there - kept the neighbors up too with all the noise.
