I've not tried Google Voice Search before, but just downloaded it onto my iPod Touch. I doubt I will find a use for it and I wasn't expecting much, but it seems pretty impressive from my little play just now. Hardly any interpretive mistakes at all. It managed to pick up a few words off the TV too.

- Contractor is supposed to be expert in field;
- Contractor is being asked tricky questions by client;
- Contractor activates Google Voice at appropriate moment;
- Google Voice searches and returns results;
- Contractor says, "I'm sorry, let me just tell my phone I want to ignore this text message," and prods at phone, clicking on first decent-looking link in the search results;
- Contractor quickly scans first few lines of the resulting page (search engines give greater prominence to pages where search terms appear early in the page);
- Contractor turns back to client saying "Sorry about that, but to answer your question: the best way to create an object model that suitably represents the inherently incoherent processes of your manual workflow is..."
...whatever this gets you.

iPod touch? Are you a pauper?"Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny. "
